A verbal periphrasis is a grammatical structure that consists of two or more verbs that take on a new meaning when used together.

In this lesson we will study two types: Result and Obligation

Result: terminar por + infinitive

Habia tanto tráfico que terminé por ir al trabajo al pie. / There was so much traffic that I ended up walking to work.

Obligation: haber que + infinitive

Hay que ser precavidos. / We must be cautious.
